Sharp Tips - Fine Lines
All "sharp" tips are supplied "Razer"-sharp and are capable of burning up to 120 lines per inch right out of the package. Different tip shapes have somewhat different applications, but all sharp tips are ideally suited for fine detail work on carved, curved or flat surfaces.
These tips are very sharp so the tip tends to cut into the material as it burns. This is very handy when burning across grain. The blade tends to cut across the grain rather allowing a much more uniform burn.
Some examples: burning crisp lines, letter outlining, decorative work, texturing, hair and feathers burning. Some sharp tips are also used for cutting plastics, paper, fabric, gourds, leather and thin wood.
