Whole Tagua Nuts

Tagua is also called Vegetable Ivory. It's the nut of the Ivory Palm and is highly prized by carvers, turners and other artists and crafts people.
The outter skin is beautifully textured. The hard inner 'wood' has a consistancy, texture and appearance that is close to that of elephant ivory.
The colour of the inner wood ranges from creamy white to dark coffee.
